Luke is a loving, and intelligent dog who has a warm and gentle demeanor. He enjoys playtime and bonding with people. 

Luke was rescued from a shelter during the housing crisis to ensure his safety and well-being. After fostering him and meeting his training and medical needs, his family is now seeking a responsible, caring forever home where he
can continue to be happy and healthy.

He is obedience trained. He responds to commands like SIT, STAY, COME, DOWN, and LEAVE IT. He walks well on a leash and has solid recall skills.

Luke has lived with children age 6 to 12. He is always affectionate, playful, and displays a friendly, gentle temperament around children.

Luke lives with Polo, another available German Shepherd (also on this site) and gets along well with him. He interacts positively with other dogs during outings, showing friendly and playful behavior.   He enjoys fetch and loves playing with squeaky toys. He is fond of tug-of-war and enjoys engaging in games that involve running around or mental stimulation.

He has no experience living with cats, and his reactions to them are uncertain.

Luke is an affectionate and playful dog who would be happiest in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. He would do well with another dog for companionship, but also enjoys attention from people. His ideal home would be one where he can be part of the family and get the love and structure he needs to continue thriving.

Luke can be adopted alone or with Polo, his buddy, also on this site.

Luke is currently in California but his foster family is willing to provide all transportation to the lucky adopting family.
