King, an honoray member of ASR, left us too soon, but he along with others who left us too soon, inspired us to begin ASR to save as many dogs as possible! You are missed King! From his mom...My wonderful pal and buddy for many years is gone. We adopted King in 2003. He was undergoing treatment for HW at the time and after adoption, we found that he also had Lyme disease….and tapeworm…he was a mess! But a more gentle and sweet soul you could not find anywhere. In his prime, King was gorgeous – Throughout his entire life he was a magnificent Shepherd and very representative of the breed. As he aged, he became more and more mellow – never losing that sense of humor, but definitely more forgiving as a seemingly non-ending parade of cats and foster puppies shared his home. He was a loving and faithful friend and I will miss him – always. Kodiak an honoray member of ASR, left us too soon, but he along with others who left us too soon, inspired us to begin ASR to save as many dogs as possible! You are missed Kodiak! Our beautiful and sweet Maeve left us to go to the rainbow bridge on Friday - 4/20/12. We only had her for a very short 6 months but she was such a part of our family, She captured our hearts at first sight and she was such a joy to have. We miss her terribly and are trying to heal and remember her beautiful face and spirit for life. Rest in peace my sweet girl. Run free and catch your yellow ball. Jack & Diane Hanson and your fur clan Tragically, the Baker Family lost Destiny, Dillon and Jet in a very short span of time. They were beloved by Cathy and Bill and will always be remembered. Dillon's work as an Ambassador of Rescue dogs helped raise money for rescue for over 11 years! Dillon's fundraising work saved many dogs ! Run free ......... We sorrowfully said goodbye to Greta after discovering she was suffering from cancer that involved her spleen and liver. Greta was loved by all who met her and returned that love ten times over. We will miss Greta but take comfort in knowing she knew she was loved.
