CONGRATULATIONS, ZIVA, ON YOUR PENDING ADOPTION!!

Wow, BIG News on Ziva! One of our amazing volunteers did some research and we realized she is part Canaan Dog - which makes total sense since she came from Afghanistan.

Her fluffy tail and longer hair is clearly some other breed but she surely looks like an absolute match for a red Canaan.

She was rescued from the streets of Afghanistan by a wonderful organization, Kabul Small Animal Rescue (KSAR), https://www.kabulsmallanimalrescue.com/, and is now with All Shepherd Rescue (ASR) in Maryland.

Ziva was found by KSAR and held until enough funds were raised to charter a plane and arrange an airlift to the United States for her and 200 other lucky dogs and 100 equally lucky cats.

Initially, Ziva was a little shy but has blossomed into a happy, vivacious and social pup and is great with other dogs. Since we don’t know about her past life, we suggest a home with older children only. Cats are an unknown right now.
