CONGRATULATIONS, COCOA , ON YOUR PENDING ADOPTION 

Another sweet dog failed by humans :(

Cocoa  Butter was surrendered to a shelter  ( along with Max . ) Such a super sweet gal - she absolutely LOVES people and is playful with other dogs .

Unfortunately, Cocoa is heartworm positive because her owner didn't give her monthly preventatives :-( So now Ms. Cocoa will have to undergo a painful series of injections to kill the heartworms before they kill her.

Cocoa B is in a temporary foster home, but really needs a foster/adopter that will take her through her treatment. Her temporary foster says she is very sweet, very cuddly and has been a perfect houseguest.

ASR is thrilled we can spring her from the shelter and start her on her new life. We will make sure she has the full treatment for her heartworms so she is ready to live her best life ever!

Cocoa can be adopted before completing her treatment, and ASR will continue to pay in full for the entirety of the treatment. ASR will also provide an experienced volunteer to answer any questions about her care while her treatment is underway.
